(EARLY BIRD PRICING ENDS JUNE 23RD!)
Ready for a yoga-packed weekend to supercharge your motivation, work on your technique, and move through 2025 with confidence?
We’re hosting a small group weekend workshop series, at the We The People Fitness Studio in Chicago, Illinois.
This is an opportunity to come do yoga workouts with me in-person, to get your form checked, to learn appropriate modifications for your fitness level, and to really dial in your technique. It’s a great way for you to develop confidence in your yoga practice, to hold yourself accountable and get motivated, and to make sure that you stick with your yoga programs for 2025.
The series includes a total of 4 classes, 90 minutes each, which are a combination of tutorials and workouts - you’ll get a nice blend of instruction without exhausting yourself in the process. For sure, we’re going to work hard - but you’ll be able to do it, even if you’re a beginner. (Everybody who has ever attended has been able to stick with it - even the guys in their 70s.)
What will you learn? I’ll focus on the big topics - lower-back pain, increasing flexibility, developing more core strength, improving your balance, getting better at the poses that most guys struggle with.
Here’s the schedule:
Saturday, August 23
- (Session 1: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM) Healthy Lower-Back - Build a strong, pain-free lower back through targeted core strength, hip mobility, and spinal stability exercises. You’ll learn why stability must precede mobility and how proper muscle activation—not just stretching—creates lasting pain relief. Leave with practical techniques to strengthen critical muscle groups and improve spinal function for immediate comfort and long-term back health.
- (Session 2: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM) Shoulders & Upper-Back - Upper-back and shoulder health are often overlooked but are crucial for posture and pain-free movement. This session targets thoracic opening, shoulder strength, and mobility while addressing common muscle imbalances. You’ll learn how to strengthen weak upper-back muscles, correct posture issues caused by yoga-only programs, and isolate spinal mobility to avoid over-reliance on the hips. By the end, you’ll have a well-rounded approach to maintaining a strong and stable upper body.
Sunday, August 23
-
(Session 3: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM) Balance, Healthy Knees & Ankles - Balance is more than just a skill—it’s a combination of strength, awareness, and control. In this session, we’ll focus on strengthening the hips, ankles, and core to improve stability and prevent injuries. You’ll learn how to build awareness of foot and ankle muscles, develop strength in key stabilizers, and recognize the ever-changing nature of balance. Whether you’re looking to enhance your athletic performance or simply move more confidently, this workshop will give you the tools to do so.
- (Session 4: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM) Deepening Hip & Shoulder Flexibility - Flexibility isn’t just about passive stretching—it’s about combining strength and mobility for a greater range of motion. This session teaches how to work deeper into your flexibility while maintaining stability. By incorporating longer hold times and strength-building techniques, you’ll develop functional flexibility that supports your movements rather than limits them. This approach ensures that your body remains both supple and strong for long-term mobility and injury prevention.
